SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY & HOOSIER RACING TIRE EXTEND AGREEMENT

THROUGH 2012 SEASON

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway and Hoosier Racing Tire of Lakeville, Ind., entered into an agreement that will name Hoosier as the exclusive racing tire for the speedway’s 358 sprint car, late model, pro stock, and roadrunner divisions through the 2012 season.

“Our long-standing relationship with Hoosier has played an integral role in the revitalization and success of Selinsgrove Speedway over the past decade,” said Selinsgrove Speedway promoter Charlie Paige. “Hoosier has provided our race teams with high-performance racing tires that have, in turn, provided our race fans with exciting, competitive racing on a weekly basis.” Hoosier has been the official tire of choice at Selinsgrove Speedway since 1999. According to Paige, pricing for the racing tires has been established for the 2010 season, with a lower MSRP negotiated for the 358 sprint car division. Details of the exact tire packages for the speedway’s four weekly divisions will be announced when the track’s 2010 specification rules are released this winter.

Selinsgrove National Open

Tonights (Sunday) 358 Open has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The race will not be rescheduled.

Rain Postpones 358 National Open Until SUNDAY NIGHT

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Heavy rain arrived mid-afternoon today and forced the postponement of the Ninth Annual Paul Stine Chevrolet Open for 358 sprint cars until tomorrow night, Sunday, Sept. 27, at 6:30 p.m.

Joining the 358 sprint cars for the season finale will be the roadrunners and Tobias SpeedStrs. Track gates will open at 4 p.m., with practice laps slated for 6 p.m. Time trials for the 358 sprint cars will start at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of the 30-lap Open will earn $3,000 out of a purse totaling nearly $14,000. The format for qualifying will also include heat races and a B-main. The Open, which will pay $235 to qualify, will start 25 sprint cars, including one provisional for the highest Selinsgrove Speedway points driver who does not qualify through a heat race or the B-main.

The roadrunner division will compete in a 12-lap main event paying $200 to win.
