A Big Thank You

Well the season is over and I wanted to take this time to say thank you to everyone who was involved with the 1st ever Central PA 358 Point Series.

First off I need to thank each and every 358 driver who raced this season. I started this point series for all of you as a thank you for spending your hard earned money every week to entertain me and the other fans. If it was not for the hard work and dedication of you and your families I would not be able to see what I consider the best racing in the area. You guys and gals have been great to talk to this season. It is hard for someone like myself to just walk up to a driver and discuss things with them when you have no clue who I was. But you all took the time to hear me out and have shown great enthusiasm in discussing the point series with me. For that I say thank you. I hope to be able to make this bigger and bigger as the years go on, and continue to give back to all of you for everything that you all do each and every season.

I need to thank the sponsors of the point series. Jason Loss and his father at Delco Signs. Jason was the first to contact me when I started to keep track of the points this year and asked if he could be part of it. He was the first to donate a $250 gift certificate for the winner of the points and for that, Thank You.

Jason was also instrumental in helping to get Pancho Lawler of Panchos Racing Products to come on board with a $100 gift certificate. Thank you Pancho for the help.

Thank you also to Trail Way Speedway in donating a $100 gift certificate. The track has given the division a great home on Friday nights.

Thank you to Jason Walls and everyone at Speedwerx.com . Jason and the guys have where gracious to donate a $50 gift certificate to the drivers. They have also been great in letting me have pictures for this site. For that I say Thank You.

Millers Racing Products have just came on board at the end of the season and donated a $50 gift certificate. That meant I was able to give out something to the top 5 in points at the end of the season. Thank you to them as well as Dale Hammaker for helping to get that for the series.

Thank You to Bill Burkholder for coming on board this season and donating $100 for the trophies for the drivers. Bill did not know me, but we struck up a conversation on the computer one day and it lead to him becoming a sponsor for the series. I got to meet him at the Thursday night Speed Week show at Williams Grove while sitting in the parking lot waiting out the rain, and Bill is a great guy and a big fan of sprint car racing. Thank you for the help.

Thank You to Gus Radle for donating the money for the Most Popular Driver Award this year. It was a pleasure to give out the award (which at this time has still not been delivered because of rain) to Nate Snyder. Gus has already told me that he will once again take part in the most popular driver award for the 2010 season.

Thank you Rod Zeigler and Zeiglers Kitchens. Rod came on board and donated money for the trophies for the point series. Rod has also said he will be back in 2010 to help out with the series. Thank You Bill, Gus, and Rod for helping out this season.

Thank you to Bankert Trophies of New Oxford for making the most kick ass trophies for the drivers. The most popular driver award is by far the best trophy I have ever seen at a race track.

A big Thank You to the race tracks that have hosted the 358 division this season. The tracks worked with me this season even though they did not have to, and where kind enough to announce the point standings as well as the most popular driver award at the races each and e4very week. They did not have to do this as they really did not know me, and didn't know if this was something that really mattered to anyone. Thank you to them for helping me get the word out about the series.

Thank you to Jason Bly and everyone over at Paposseracing.com. This point series started out over on his site this year in my articles that I write for him. He has been a great help in every way possible. Every time I have a question he has been there to help out, and trust me there have been days when I have talked his ear off with questions. Thanks Jason for giving me a place to start this off.

Thank you to Andrew Rucker for making this site what it is. Without his help this place would not look the way it does. Andrew has been instrumental in getting this place to look like a real web site that the 358 sprint car division can be proud off. Thanks Andrew.

Thank you to Brad Vores and the rest of the area press for taking interest in the point series. Brad was the first person to contact me asking for info on the series and making sure that the fans who do not serf the web and have no clue about the site where kept updated on the points every week. Thank you for the help Brad.

Last but not least, I want to thank the fans. The fans are what this whole sport is about, and without all of you, there would be no auto racing to go see. Thank you to all of you who took the time to vote for your favorite driver this season, or just took the time to stop by and checkout the site.

Thank you all, and lets hope that February gets here fast. I will be doing things on the site from time to time, as I am in the process of getting the trophies and prizes to the drivers who finished in the top 5. I will post the pictures as soon as they all receive their trophies.
