1 Point Race This Week for the Cntral PA 358 Point Series.

This week the Central PA 358 Point Series presented by HTMA will have 1 point race.

Trail Way Speedway will host the only 358 point race this Friday night. With Saturday's race at Selinsgrove being a 358/360 Challenge race that race will not be a points race for the Central PA 358 Point Series.

There has been some questions regarding whether the teams that raced at Selinsgrove ran a 358 if they would collect points for the series, so I wanted to make sure that I left everyone know that no matter what type of engine you race with, you will not collect any points for the series. The 3 358/360 challenge races (2 at Selinsgrove and 1 at Williams Grove) along with the Billy Kimmel Memorial are non points paying races because they are not open 358 races.

Good luck to all the teams racing this weekend.

  1. hard to believe these drivers won't be awarded points. They race hard weekly and it is very costly to put a show on for the fans and not to be awarded points is ridiculous at the least. There will be no fair way to award the 358 points champ as the true winner probably will finish 4th or 5th.....

  2. This is a 358 point series, not a 360 point series. If I would give points for this race, I might as well start giving points for every URC race as well.

I understand your point, but how can I give points to a race that is not a true 358 race? This was made clear at the beginning of the season, and was done last season as well, so it should not be to much of a surprise to anyone who races in the division.

  3. Oh and 1 more point, why should a team that races a 360 collect 358 points? All the top teams that ran Saturday night at Selinsgrove ran 360 motors. Am I to only give points to the teams that ran a 358?

  4. not all the top teams did but not worth the arguement.simple point that I believe 4races will not be point races and the teams will have to travel to other speedways to receive points or be "penalized" for supporting there home track.Once again, you will have a difficult time awarding the real champ
