Logan Schuchart scores popular first career Lincoln win in "358" sprints

Thirty-nine years to the day after his grandfather (Bobby Allen) scored the 24^th of his 75 career wins at Lincoln, Logan Schuchart drove to his first career win in the 20-lap "358" sprint car feature.

"This is the only place I ever wanted to be," said a jubilant Schuchart in victory lane, "Pappy has taught me so much, and this has been a lifelong dream!"

Schuchart started tenth and was already in third by the end of the third lap. He got by third-starting Denny Gross on lap four.

Rick Horn grabbed the lead from his outside front row starting spot and led the first five laps before Schuchart made the race-winning pass on lap six.

Horn hung onto second for the next six laps before ninth-starting Glenndon Forsythe grabbed the runner-up spot. Forsythe got one last chance with a 17^th-lap caution, but could never catch the Kitty Hawk Restaurant/Speedway 94 #1s.

Horn faded to sixth at the end, with Doug Hammaker, points leader Dale Hammaker, and 21^st-starting Adrian Shaffer completing the top five.

Heats for the 36 "358" Sprints were won by Jan Luckenbaugh, Horn, Gross, and Doug Hammaker, with Shaffer winning the consolation.
