Here are the races this season that will count as points races. There will be 80 races for the 358 teams to collect points towards the point series. There will be double point races this season. Each track will get 1 race where the top 10 will receive double points. I will be making the call on those races on the week of the event. I want to make sure the teams know about the extra points, but I also want to make sure that the weather will be good for those races. I can tell you all that the race at Susquehanna Speedway on Sunday June 13th will be a double points race, as well as both of the races at Port Royal. I am hoping that that might help boost the car counts for those 3 races.
Remember teams, this season you will be racing for $1,6050 in point fund money. I am working on some more sponsors for the point fund, and if I can reach my goal, I will be paying out the top 3 positions in the points. I can tell you all that I am very close to that goal.
Thank you to all the great people that have stepped up and made this coming season great for the 358 sprint car division, and thank you to all the teams that race in the 358 division. If it was not for all of you, I would not be doing this.

Central Pa 358 Point Series Gets Even Bigger.
After I posted the press release for the 2010 point fund I was contacted by another person who wants to come on board as a sponsor. Allan Holland from www.hoseheads.com has come on board as a sponsor. Mr. Holland will be giving $500 towards the point fund. So know the 358 race teams will be racing for $1,600 in cash this season.
Central PA 358 Point Series races into new season
The Central PA 358 Point Series is gearing up for a big 2010 racing season. In 2010 the 358 sprints will be racing in point series races at 6 different race tracks. The class will be racing at Selinsgrove Speedway and Trail Way Speedway as the headline division as well as Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedway’s as a support division. Special races will be held at Port Royal Speedway as well as Susquehanna Speedway that will also be part of the point series.
After a very successful inaugural season in 2009, for the point series which saw Jeff Rohrbaugh win the season long point series, Jeff was able to win the top prize of a $250 gift certificate from Delco Signs. Brad McClelland would finish 2nd , Dale Hammaker would come home in 3rd, Blane Heimbach and Billy Dietrich would round out the top 5.
The 2010 racing season sees the 358 sprint division racing for a bigger winners share of the money this season. Paposseracing.com has come on board as the main sponsor of the point series and has put up $500 towards the season ending point fund. Pancho’s Racing Products has also stepped up this season and has donated a long list of prizes for the drivers. Pancho’s will be donating $200 towards the point fund as well as giving a front wing to the driver who finishes in 2nd place. He has also donated $25 gift certificates to the rest of the drivers who finish in the top 10. Aero Wings located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania has also donated $200 towards the point fund. Ken’s Jewelry and Coin in York Pa has also donated $100 for the point fund. Race fan Bill Burkholder has also donated at least $100 towards the point fund. So the 358 teams as of know will be racing for $1,100 in cash to start the 2010 racing season.
Wings Unlimited has come on board as a new sponsor for the 2010 season. They have given the winner of the series a gift certificate worth $150 off the list price of a top and front wing set. They have also given 3 $75 gift certificate’s off the same top and front wing sets.
Jason Walls and the gang at speedwerx.com have also donated again this season a $50 gift certificate towards the point fund.
Delco Signs will be donating a gift certificate again this year for the race teams.
The drivers will once again receive trophies for finishing in the top 5 in points. Money for the trophies where donated by Bill Burkholder as well as Rod Zeigler of Zeiglers Kitchens in Spring Grove Pa.
The drivers will also have a chance to win the most popular driver award again this season. In 2009 Selinsgrove Speedway Track Champion Nate Snyder won the award and was handed the beautiful trophy at the race track. The award will once again be sponsored by Gus Radle and .Military Collector Shop located in South Central PA. For a appointment call Gus at 717-440-1377 if you have any collectible military to sell or looking to buy.
