1 Point Race This Week for the Cntral PA 358 Point Series.

This week the Central PA 358 Point Series presented by HTMA will have 1 point race.

Trail Way Speedway will host the only 358 point race this Friday night. With Saturday's race at Selinsgrove being a 358/360 Challenge race that race will not be a points race for the Central PA 358 Point Series.

There has been some questions regarding whether the teams that raced at Selinsgrove ran a 358 if they would collect points for the series, so I wanted to make sure that I left everyone know that no matter what type of engine you race with, you will not collect any points for the series. The 3 358/360 challenge races (2 at Selinsgrove and 1 at Williams Grove) along with the Billy Kimmel Memorial are non points paying races because they are not open 358 races.

Good luck to all the teams racing this weekend.

Keith Prutzman and Adrian Shaffer split 358 features at Lincol Speedway

Adrian Shaffer started on the front row of the 20-lap 358 Sprint car feature and drove off from the field to score his seventh career win in the Pigeon Hills.

After battling mechanical woes during the makeup feature earlier in the night, Shaffer was flawless in the non-stop feature that was delayed by a rain shower for about a half hour.

Derek Frohlich finished second over Mike Bittinger, Eric Tomecek, Brook Weibley, Troy Becker, Tim Wagaman, Steve Owings, Dale Hammaker and Ted Thomas, Jr.

Heats for the 33 “358” Sprint heats were won by Mike Bittinger, Adrian Shaffer, Scott Fisher and Derek Frohlich. Kyle Moody won the consolation.

After two consecutive red flags to start the makeup 20-lap 358 Sprint car feature, Hamburg’s Keith Prutzman led flag to flag to score his first career win at Lincoln.

Prutzman’s 20-lap time of 5:23.87 erased the old 20 lap track record set by Greg Leiby on June 30, 2001. The former record was 5:38.80.

Defending track champion Jeff Rohrbaugh finished second ahead of Dale Hammaker, Tim Wagaman and Nicole Bower with Glenndon Forsythe, Eric Tomecek, Ted Thomas, Troy Becker and Todd Rittenhouse, Jr. completing the top 10 finishers.
