Central PA 358 Point Series presented by HTMA.

The 2011 racing season is about to gear up and the Central PA 358 Point Series presented by HTMA is ready for another exciting year. This season will see the $27,000 point fund is back for another season, with the top 12 in points paying out again. Pat Cannon was the champion last season dominating the division on his way to winning the $6,000 top prize. Jeff Rohrbaugh was the series 1st ever point champion in 2009.

In addition to the point fund we will have the Hoesheads.com Rookie of the year award again in 2011. The top finishing rookie in the Central PA 358 Point Series standings will receive $500 cash and a trophy for being named the 2011 Rookie of the Year in the division. Scott Fisher was the winner last season. Any team that plans on running for the ROY award please email me at boogermac420@inbox.com and let me know so I can add you to the list of drivers.

This year we will also have the Buck Rubs Hard Luck Award. This award will pay $250 to a driver who is voted to have the worst luck in 2011.

We will also be having the 3rd annual Central PA 358 Point Series Most Popular Driver Award. The fan voting for this will start sometime in May with the winner receiving the big trophy. Troy Becker (2010) & Nate Snyder (2009) have both won this award voted on by the fans.

The point series will be giving out trophies for the top 5 finishers in the point series again this season as well as gift certificates from various business in the area.

We are working on bringing back the Most Improved Driver Award in 2011, but as of right now there will not be one as I have not been able to secure a sponsor for the award. If that changes I will update the website as soon as we can.

With 86 chances for the 358 teams to score points this season, it should be a very exciting year for the 358 division.

Good luck to every race team in 2011.
