Adrian Shaffer Takes 358 feature at Williams Grove Speedway
Dale Hammaker took the lead from Denny Gross on the third lap to
hold off the challenges of Shaffer on a trio of restarts, appearing headed
easily to his first win at the oval in years.
But with less than two laps to go in the 20-lap feature,
Grantville’s Hammaker began slowing and indeed started running out of fuel.
Eighth starter Shaffer of Mt. Wolfe then took over
officially with a lap to go and recorded his sixth career 358 sprint victory at
the track.
Point leader Pat Cannon was second followed by Eric Tomecek,
Mark Smith and Nate Hammaker.
Sixth through 10th went to Jay Galloway, Ryan
Wilson, Amy Ott, Aaron Eichelberger and Gross.
Three heats went to Shaffer, Cannon and Wilson.

Zach EUCULANO CLAIMS SECOND CAREER WIN IN TRAIL-WAY 358 SPRINTS
Hanover, PA (06/15/12) –A rebuilt motor did the trick for Zach Euculano in Friday night’s “358” sprint car feature at Trail-Way Speedway.
“We’ve been having
trouble with the motor and just got this car back together last night,”
said Euculano upon exiting the Shive family L&Z Garage/Cartridge
World/CFI Sprint Bodies #10 in victory lane, “If it wouldn’t be for my
grandfather (former sprint car driver Larry Shive), I wouldn’t be here.”
For the second
straight week, scheduled polesitter Rick Horn dropped to the infield
while lining up for the feature. That put Euculano on the pole, and he
led every lap. But lapped traffic kept the outcome in doubt until the
end.
One-time winner
Shane Hoff held off defending champ Jeff Rohrbaugh for second, with Tim
Wagaman and Mike Bittinger completing the top five.
Sixth through tenth were Austin Hogue, points leader and hard charger Kyle Moody (who started 14th), Keith Prutzman, Isaac Sneeringer, and Steve Owings.
Heats for the 18 “358” sprint cars were won by Rick Horn and Randy Whisler.

TimWagaman Racing Kid’s Night Event @ Lincoln Speedway
Please join Tim Wagaman Racing and the Teddy Bear Toss for a
fun night at Lincoln Speedway this Saturday, June 23, 2012. We are partnering with this local charity
which raises funds for research for pediatric cancers by asking all children
and/or people attending the races that night to bring a (or a bunch of) stuffed
animal for an annual Teddy Bear toss that takes place each December.
The Teddy Bear Toss is a fundraiser
that Ms. Abbey Rhodes started after an encounter with a tumor in her chest the
summer before her freshman year of high school. During that summer she was
placed with the kids at Johns Hopkins that had cancer and while luckily her
tumor turned out not to be cancerous, the children she met inspired her to
begin this charity. Every year people come to a girl’s basketball game at Southwestern High School, where people throw stuffed
animals and donate money. The
organization also sells "Pay It Forward" bracelets, t-shirts, and
places toilet seats in an attempt to “flush out cancer.” If you live in or around Hanover you might have seen them!
We have chosen to partner with them
again this year during Kids Night in an attempt to raise awareness about
pediatric cancers and to show children that they can help other kids too! Please join us as we attempt to gather the
largest number of donations for this event to date. Come out and join Tim Wagaman Racing as we work
to show children that anyone can be a hero who helps to fight cancer.

STUTTS CLAIMS FIRST WIN OF SEASON IN 358 SPRINTS
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – When Brock Zearfoss’ race car lost power while
leading on lap 21, TJ Stutts of Liverpool inherited the front spot and
went on to win his first 358 sprint car feature of the season in
Saturday ’s 25-lap main event at Selinsgrove Speedway on Paul Stine
Chevrolet night.
For Stutts, driving the Mountain View Travel No. 23, the victory marked the 14th of his career at the track. He became the division’s seventh different winner this season.
Selinsgrove Speedway will present the Ninth Annual Joe Whitcomb Memorial for 358 sprint cars plus late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, sponsored by A&A Auto Stores. The 30-lap tribute race will pay $2,071 to win and $250 to start. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.
Second-place starter Joel VanBuskirk pulled into the early lead in the sprint car feature. VanBuskirk was chased by polesitter Brock Zearfoss for the first lap until Zearfoss made a pass for the lead on the second circuit. The caution flag regrouped the field on lap four when Larry Kelleher made contact with the third turn wall and rolled to a stop.
When the race resumed, Zearfoss quickly stretched his lead and ninth-place starter TJ Stutts advanced from fifth to third. A lap later, Stutts was into second and set his sites on Zearfoss.
By lap 10, Zearfoss began to encounter slower traffic and Stutts was able to close the gap. At the halfway point, third-place starter Colby Womer, fifth-place starter Phil Walter, and VanBuskirk raced in the top five.
On a lap 17 restart, the race for the top five positions intensified. 11th-place starter Blane Heimbach stormed into the third spot on the 18th circuit. On the 21st lap, Zearfoss’ car lost power on the backstretch, allowing Stutts to take command of the field.
In the final laps, Heimbach attempted to reel in Stutts to no avail. At the checkered flag, Stutts was victorious by 1.3 seconds over Heimbach, Walter, 12th-place starter Jason Shultz, and 10th-place starter Pat Cannon.

Shane Hoff becomes eighth different winner in eight races in 358 Sprints
Rookie
Shane Hoff of New Oxford became the eighth winner in as many Lincoln
races in the 20-lap “358” sprint car feature. The former micro-sprint
driver won his first career race earlier this season at Trail-Way
Speedway. But Saturday night’s win was the first of his career in the
Pigeon Hills.
Hoff
started on the pole and led every lap, with Keith Prutzman, lady driver
Brie Hershey third, ninth-starting Niki Young fourth, and Tim
Berkheimer fifth. Sixth through tenth were Ryan Wilson, Doug Hammaker,
Todd Rittenhouse, Jr., Cris Eash, and Tyler Ross.
Heats
for the 34 “358” Sprints were won by Hoff, Jeff Rohrbaugh, Prutzman,
and Hammaker, with Jacob Allen winning the consolation.
